Argh! This is not supposed to happen to me. :P

Code:
2005-12-04 21:01:03.441 Started recording "Grey's Anatomy" on channel: 1003 on cardid: 1, sourceid 1
2005-12-04 21:01:03.971 Changing from None to RecordingOnly
2005-12-04 21:01:04.509 Reschedule requested for id 0.
2005-12-04 21:01:04.826 Scheduled 44 items in 0.3 = 0.00 match + 0.27 place
ERROR: file I/O problem in safe_write(), errcnt = 1: No space left on device
ERROR: file I/O problem in safe_write(), errcnt = 2: No space left on device
ERROR: file I/O problem in safe_write(), errcnt = 3: No space left on device

Code:
#df
Filesystem           1K-blocks      Used Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/hda1              3980260   3858100         0 100% /
/dev/hda3             12601748      7120  12594628   1% /cache
/dev/hda4            181621568 181612420      9148 100% /myth

Wow, did I really record that much stuff? 180GB full! :shock:

I guess so. But why is my root partition full? :?

<looks in log>
Ack! Stream overflow! Haven't seen that one in a while.
<deletes log files and sets ivtv_debug=0>
<deletes some recordings>

OK, now I've got like 10GB free on /myth but my root partition is still nearly 100% full.

What else should I delete on / to free up some space?

I would suspect that log files have taken over. If you haven't already, try looking in /var/log. A fun command to help you find the where all your disk space went is du.

You are correct sir.

It was the mysql log - Massive!

Now I'm back to 50% on /

These log issues need to be addressed, no?

Also, I'm not sure it's such a good idea that Myth fills up every ounce of my /myth partition. Can I set this to stop when it gets to 90% full and have it start deleting old shows?

Why yes you can have myth start autoexpiring :D

It's in one of the screens where you must set autoexpire on AND set an autoexpire threshold). It was in the settings, tv settings, general menu last I checked.
