Post subject:  R5A26 Broken feature?

Hi

FOr the last week i ben trying to get my Via Epia-M motherboard to work with tv card (a haupauge 500 card), so far i found a few problems in the new version.

The problem is, when you turn on Hardware XVMC VLD, you get a "failed to inilialize video" error, same thing happens if u try to watch a recording.. Althought you can see the tumbnail of the recording, but it gives that error when you try to see it in full screen.

The funny thing is, if you install A16 it works just fine.
I tryed to burn 2 copy´s of the cd now, i did a md5 checksum of the iso, and it was fine...

Is this feature broken in the new version?
Does any know how to fix this?
I kinda need VLD to be turned on, in order for me to see tv, proberly on my via board :(

/edit

here is what is says in the log, when i try to run tv with VLD on

Code:
2005-12-05 13:57:20.418 Changing from None to WatchingLiveTV
2005-12-05 13:57:29.798 Changing from WatchingLiveTV to None

Check /etc/X11/XvMCConfig, what does it state?

I'm running R5A26 on an Epia MII with a PVR 150 and had that problem when I switched to the XF86config-4.epia.tvout.sample to switch output from CRT to TV. I noticed that there were two lines in the modules section commented out (dri and glx *i think*). I removed the comments and restarted X and that "Could not initialize video" went away and I could watch TV and recordings...

Dunno if this will help.
