Hey everyone... Apart from various issues with my system, I was happy to see that I could get the video feed from our cable box.. However, now I find myself with another issue.. My isssue, when watching TV, my video frames run behind my audio. The reason for this is because I have my audio directly connected to my audio card and my S-video connection is directly to my pvr-150.. The feeds are not in sync. Further info on my system: P3 933 384MB Hauppauge pvr 150 (1045), TurtleBeach Catalina 7.1 audio card Is there a way to delay the audio to match the video, or would the PVR-150 MCE w/bundle unit be better since it has an integrated audio handling capability? Right now, the issue is happening with watching TV, and I have yet to enjoy being able to record... Thanks in advance for any suggestions |

There is an audio input connection on the PVR-150 for exactly this purpose (the silver stereo minijack plug)... As a matter of fact what you're doing doesn't work for real recordings at all since the audio isn't captured in the MPEG-2 stream. All PVR cards expect to get the audio along with the video so it can be encoded into the stream. |

Hi tjc Appreciate your quick response very much.... I guess it was late, and I had forgotten about the line in on the pvr card.. What you said about the PVR also expecting the audio feed makes sense, but according to MythTV's site, you can also make the system work with the configuration that I was thinking of. However my version works perhaps only for recording, and requires the use of an editing app to combine the audio and video files. In my mind I thought of letting the sound card handle everything related to audio and use the capture card for only the video part.. But the simplest solution is to let the capture card do all the work for television purposes at least.. One more problem solved... many more to go.. Thanks |
