| Post subject: | mythburn not burning DVD |
I just installed the latest CVS mythburn and I was able to create an ISO of some shows that I want to record. The problem is that after the iso is created I thought it would burn the DVD, instead it just gives me a finished message. I then thought I would use dvdrecord to just write the ISO to the DVD but a dvdrecord -scanbus is not showing my DVD drive. xine is able to play DVDs via the mythtv option so I am not sure why the scanbus is not showing me the device. Is there something else that needs to be done to burn this or is it expected that you would use someting else to actually burn the dvd after the ISO is created? -Sym |

Figured it out, you need to tell mythburn in the mythweb interface to burn to DVD-R. Now just got to figure out how to give the mythtv user permissions to write to the device. |

If you're running a modern version of KnoppMyth the cd_link.sh script should do that for you. Beware that it can get confused if your system contains multiple optical drives. However looking at what it does should provide the needed clues regardless. |
