Howdy,

Just curious what resolutions you folks run for your TV Out? Is anyone taking advantage of the "supposed" ability in Nvidia cards to use Mixed resolutions like 768x480 or 720x560 ?

I'm currently using 800x600x16 bit, but find 16 bit doesn't look quite perfect for my DivX flicks. I'm thinking of switching to 640x480x32 bit

If your running a mixed mode, how did you do it? What ModeLine did you add to your XF86config-4 ?

Has anyone come up with the "Optimal" 800x600x24 mode?

How about frame buffer or boot screens for TV ?

just a thought,
mike

How about this doc; http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/XFree86-Video ... index.html

Would it be worth adding an "Interlace" to the end of my Modeline?

seems these might be cool;

Modeline "736x485i" 14.16 736 760 824 904 485 491 496 525 interlace -hsync -vsync
Modeline "736x288" 14.16 736 760 824 904 288 290 292 312 -hsync -vsync
Modeline "736x575i" 14.16 736 760 824 904 575 580 585 625 interlace -hsync -vsync
Modeline "640x480i" 14.16 640 712 776 904 480 532 537 625 interlace -hsync -vsync
Modeline "640x480i" 14.16 640 728 792 904 480 532 537 625 interlace -hsync -vsync

800x600x24. I've never played with modelines so I cannot say. Unless I'm mistaken, the current nVidia drivers don't offer interlace.
