Post subject:  No sound while playing .nuf-files in windows VLC

Hi,

I'm using KnoppMyth since R4 and I allways had the problem, that the nuv files were not viewable in my Windows VLC.
I had to demux (ProjectX) and mux (TMPGEnc) them again.

For a short while, I was using R5A22 and everything was fine, but since I did a clean install of R5A26, VLC does not like the files again.

Any idea, what is going wrong (I'm using a SkyStar 2 DVB-s Card).

Thanks in advance

Post subject:  Not really a windows issue

Hi cesman,

I know, that this is not a Windows support forum :-(
I'm pretty shure, that the Linux VLC has the same issue with sound (Mythstream has also no sound with R5A26).

Update:
I tried to use the files in a wireless media player (TG100) and also that does not play the nuv files, while those of R5A22 were no Problem.

I also tried Xine, sound is available, but is interupted every 1-2 seconds, so the files are unviewable.

Do I need to go back to A22, or does someone have a hint for me?
Probably, its only config...

Why the said face? There are PLENTY of Windows support forums out there. While tools are included to facilitate file sharing with Windows, the best place to ask Windows questions are on a Windows forum. Why the upgrade to R5A26? My recommendation was that R5A22 users simply stick with it. At any rate.... DVB streams are simply MPEG2, so I don't know why you wouldn't get audio from them out device/programs that support MPEG2 playback.

The sad face is because I am pretty shure, this is not a windows issue.
Perhaps its a VLC issue, but that´s also unprobably, because xine (on Linux) has also problems with those files.

Its not only, that the sound is not working, the video is jumping every few second (on Xine the sound also).

I did not upgrade from R22; my harddisc crashed, so I had to setup a new clean system. I used R26, because you stated, that new installation should not use R22.

Currently I am testing my interface for UPnP devices (starting with the TG100) whith mythtv.
If those devices cannot use .nuf-files directly, I have to remux them first and thats not very nifty...

Fortunately, everythink worked fine with a clean install of R22, so there must be a way.
