Hi All, Ok I have recently installed r5A26.. Everything went real smooth... I have serveral shows set to record... all is well... However, something is creating these bogus files in /myth/tv Looks like some output from mysql. Heres a few lines: root@mythtv:/myth/tv# ls 'rehash' to get table and field completion, but startup__.nuv --disable-auto-rehash.__.nuv Directory where character sets are.__.nuv No automatic rehashing. One has to use 'rehash' to get__.nuv Set the default character set.__.nuv and reconnecting may take a longer time. Disable with__.nuv line. Doesn't use history file.__.nuv mysql and disables rehashing on reconnect. WARNING:__.nuv options deprecated; use --disable-auto-rehash instead.__.nuv table and field completion. This gives a quicker start of__.nuv .... Any ideas? |

As you are using a SATA drive I assume that you have done a manual install. Are you sure everything is formatted and mounted correctly? |

Yes SATA - manual install. Well its working as expected other then this issue. I would assume it installed successfully. What can I do to fix this issue? |

Is it an ongoing problem? More and more small files in /myth/tv? If so, you may run out of i-nodes which in turn will prevent further recording. The filenames (not the files) might be the verbous output of the communication between the myth software and the database. This output can be send to an outfile (maybe MythTV is instructing the mysql server to do so). As one devices can be mounted several times at different places in /, the output might just be misplaced. I still think that you have to do a check of your partitioning and mounting. Maybe its good to ask at the myth mailing list if one knows the output of your filenames. Have a good new year BTW ![]() |
