I've managed to get mythlink work, it took a me while! The links being created are owned by root so aren't viewable via the samba share I've setup. Can anyone make a suggestion to get around this?

Here's what's created by the script

mythtv@mythtv:~$ ls /myth/pretty/ -l
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 47 Jan 9 21:49 01011900_Gadgets_and_Stuff_ -> /myth/tv/1020_20060101190000_20060101193000.nuv

If I change the ownership manually I can see the files but I need to automate this.

There is a sript that does this, that can be run from cron. Perhaps a search of the forum? Sorry, I've never used it.

you should be able to run mythlink as the mythtv user as it has rights to both pretty and tv dir.
