First let my appologize if this is in the wrong forum, but it seemed to fit best here to me.


Now on to the problem,

I have recently setup KnoppMyth on my computer here at home and everything worked out of the box (thanks to all who made that possible!), but I cannot seem to get my Silver remote to work. I have read all the entries I could find pertaining to this issue on this forum and Google, and all the solutions posted have not worked. I am using R5A26 release.

I can get the remote to work with a little tweak:

run lirc-reconfigure.sh and choose Hauppauge, and Gray Remote.

Reboot PC

run lirc-reconfigure.sh again but this time select the PVR150 remote.

This allows me to navigate the menus in MythTV, but when watching Live TV I cannot change channels and when I go to use the numbers I can only have one number displayed at a time (ie I can't hit 3 and 2 and have 32 on the screen, instead 3 shows up and then 2 replaces it).

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated as this is the only part that is not working properly...

Just want to add that I just tried changing the channel with the keyboard...that was also a no go...but I could get two numbers displayed on the (like the the previous example when I hit 3 and then 2 I can get 32 with the keybaord, but not the remote...)

This thread can be closed I found the solution to my problem...it seems that when i switched my theme my database was messed up...a reload of the software took care of it.

I still have to run lirc-reconfigure.sh select grey reboot and then select PVR150 but I can live with that for now...thanks again for making such a great package!

This thread can be closed. The R5A30 release works just fine with the remote.
