Post subject: | question using dual tuners |
I have a Hauppauge 250 that works fine hooked up to cable with R5A30.1. Im thinking of installing another that will be hooked up to the coax out of my satellite. Getting the ir blaster thing working looks like too much of a pain right now. When I want to record something late at night I can leave the sat on a certain channel and tell myth to use tuner#2 to Schedule recording/manual schedule for a certain time to come on. How do I tell myth to use only tuner#2 to do the recording? Thanks, miker ________ Jailbroken |

You don't need a second pvr-250 to do that. Hook your satellite decoder to the pvr-250 with an s-video cable (or composite cable). Then in myth-setup create a new channel listing with one channel called "satellite". And assign it to the s-video (or composite) input on your pvr-250 card. Then you can manualy schedule a recording on channel "satellite" and it will be recorded from the s-video input. The same setup will work if you have an ir-blaster for the satellite box. But remember you can't record from satellite and cable at the same time. |
