i just installed Knoppmyth and am loving it so far. I have X setup as dual monitor with one crt and one tv output, I want to output mythtv when it autostarts to DISPLAY:0.1(the tv). I'm not really sure what file is starting mythtv at boot, so any help would be great.

I can't give you the whole answer, but I can give you a start....

1. If you don't have X running on 0.1, you need to set up GDM to also start on display 0.1 and log in as mythtv during a boot (my guess would be to start looking at /etc/init.d/gdm)

2. There is a hardcoded "export DISPLAY=:0.0" in KnoppMyth-run ("which KnoppMyth-run" to find the file). You can change it to 0.1, or probably just delete it (I haven't tested deleting it, but it should work). Deleting it would be better so you don't get stacked frontends on one display instead of one frontend on each display.

Cheers,

Allen

Thanks alien i edited KnoppMyth-run and changed the DISPLAY setting, its exactly what i was looking for. Myth now autostarts on my tv and i can use the crt to debug.
