Post subject: | Can't schedule any recordings :-( - was working fine |
I had gotten my MythBox working (at least recording, playing back some and watching some live TV). 2 HD3000 and 1 firewire connection to a Motorolla 6200. Now I can't set anything to record and the things I had previously set to record don't show up. I had scheduled and recorded a few shows, and things were going well until I filled up the root partion moving an DVD ISO image from my laptop to make space for a HD show I wanted to sample out on my laptop with VLC. That filled up hda1 and prevented the myth account from even logging in. I deleted it and now have 2 GB free in the root partition, and 200GB free in the myth partition. I've rebooted at least twice since freeing up the disk space. When I go to Upcoming Recordings I get the message "You Haven't Scheduled Any Programs To Be Recorded." I have tried setting things to record from the Program Guide (both within Manage Recordings and from the menu when watching live TV), Program Finder, Manual Record, and by hitting "r" while watching a show. They all seem to be doing something after I set them to record this show only and save settings, but they never show up in the list and when I select that show again, it is indicated as "not recording". Any ideas, suggestions, places to look for log info, etc.? |

I tried wiping out the card and channel listing by rerunning mythtv-setup and saying Yes to delete card and source info. Still didn't work. At this point, I'm going to wipe the system and start again. KnoppMyth is great in that regards and I only have a few things changed beyond the initial install that I can easily redo. |

Redoing the KnoppMyth install (formatting the disk, etc.) fixed the problem. I am curious if folks have theories of what might have gone wrong and how I might debug/fix a similar problem in the future. |
