I have a couple of questions:

Is there a way I can lock myth tv to a certain channel? I use a KVM switch which has a bug that sends a number key signal to the host that is located at that number input on the KVM switch. This changes the channel weather I am recording or watching LiveTV, causing me to lose my buffer/recording. I know I can hit the escape key to quit really quickly, but sometimes I forget. It gets annoying fast.

Also how can I schedule a reoccuring MANUAL recording. Like say (Monday - Friday 7:00pm - 8:00pm TechTV) Instead of having to manually schedule each one and use the "schedule record and do another..." button again and again. I need this because at the moment all my channels come into an external box (which I can't control from the computer right now) and they all come in on channel 3.

Also while were on the subject... is there a good HOW TO on setting up a serial cable to attach to an external cable box to change its channels (specifically Motorola DCT2224)?
