I had this happen before. I had set the unit up to recod Lost like a month ago and when I tired to play it back it something along the line of file not found. When I used the MYTHWEB interface it shows the program but has a B in the file size column. Now last week I had set it to record Boston Legal and I get the same thing. Last night it missed 24. Same B in the file size.

Is the show somewhere on my drive or is it just not recoring it. Anyone know about this glitch. Seems to happen if I don't reboot the system every week.

Any help would be great.

That happens to me with my HD3000. What is your hardware?

I think it's a tuning issue: if it doesn't get a good signal you get a "B" and then the card's hosed until you reboot.

Yes I have the HD3000.

You think this has to do with a loss of signal and then it can't get it back untill a reboot? Wow that is fickel.

It missed 3 shows sofar and it missed Gray's last night. I logged into the mythweb interface and it said it was recording but the file had the B again. Checked to day and sure enough... nothing there.

Have you rebooted? Have you confirmed that the tuner card is still getting a good signal?

I have a very expensive way of confirming the tuner is getting a good signal: the antenna goes first through a regular set-top HDTV tuner, then the "thru" goes out to my HD3000.

Even so, I tried to record SNL on Saturday and got the dreaded "B" so I rebooted my backend and will hope that works for Lost and Earl this week. I always make a "backup" recording of shows like that via my analog tuners in case the HD recording fails.

Yeah rebooted.

Just checked and according to mythweb on my box it gives me the B for HOUSE. But then it recorded Boston Legal right after it on a different channel.

My last recording of 24 was so bad I could not stand to watch it. I guess I will spend some time today checking the signal.
