I had MythTV working for months and yesterday I did an fsck to clean up some disk errors and now my X server won't start. It says something like: Code: Skipping "/usr/X11R6/lib/modules/fonts/libspeedo.a:spencode.o": No symbols found
FATAL: Module nvidia not found. (EE) NVIDIA(0): Failed to load the NVIDIA kernel module! (EE) NVIDIA(0): *** Aborting *** (EE) Screen(s) found, but none have a usable configuration. Fatal server error: no screens found I have already tried upgrading to 8174 and using the original XF86Config-4 file that came with Knoppmyth which I know worked, but the modified config has been working for months! Please help! I am a linux noob so if you could spell out the steps you recommend, that would be really great. Thanks! |
