Post subject:  problem with Actisys IRblaster and R5B7

I've been able to get my Actisys 200L irblaster set up with previous versions of Knoppmyth using the Howto at www.iwamble.net. When I tried to get this working with R5B7, I had problems. Basically, everything builds and installs fine, but when I try to load the remote_sir module, it has a segmentation fault. Does anyone know how to get this working?

I haven't made it to this step yet, will probably do it tomorrow. You can download my zip file from my ftp site (the elgordo ftp mirror). I have extra instructions that iwamble doesn't include. My first thought is that the version on LIRC you installed is different than the default installed lirc. My docs describe (what USED to be in the mythtv docs) uninstalling the default lirc and re-installing. I've had to do this on every version.
I'll give it a try tonight or tomorrow and post and update of what I find.

I got it working. I uninstalled the default lirc and reinstalled lirc from the latest sources. I didn't need to install the remoted packages because I'm only running one instance of lirc on my backend for the irblaster.

You're probably right about the problem being different versions of lirc.
