Has anyone got this working? Selecting this remote in the installation fails for me, still. Before I start messing things up just wondered if there is a simple fix? ![]() |

Why is it such a problem? I've searched and not found an answer. I believed it to be an installation issue, as the install asks the questions but it didn't work - hence posting it in that forum. You obviously disagree as it's been deleted.. Where should I post this question?? |

If you have the AHP-415 remote, with the colored buttons on the bottom, try this: http://knoppmythwiki.org/index.php?page ... e250Remote I intend to try tonight, but if it doesn't work, I'm not going to spam the forums over it. |

I did get it to work. I selected it out of the menu. My problem, oddly enough, was that that cable doesn't get seated correctly into the port on the card. What you can do is run the script that goes searching for the on/off code (sorry not in front of my myth box right now), I thought it was like "select_power_new", and the red led will flash over and over if you have it seated correctly. Run the script, and play with plugging and unplugging the cable slowly until you seat it correctly. I know it sounds silly, but that's what did it for me. |

I didn't "spam the forums" either, I asked a question. My only crime seems to have been misinterpreting the right place to ask a question.. ![]() |

Don't think it's this as some of the buttons do work. Arrows and ok are fine, number buttons seem to work as arrows, and backup does nothing. ![]() |

Oh, that's just a keymapping issue. You're in the wrong place then. ![]() I just haven't had time to futz with re-mapping all of the keys. You have it working as well as a default install will work I think. |

![]() Fair enough - my apologies. Everything else in this release worked so well, it's much better now with my DVB-T card, that I guess my expectations were too high for the remotes! ![]() |

Meh, this is something that bothers me, but not because of ease of use or release quality. It's just that if I were to send a unix novice out and tell them "go use knoppmyth, it's easy", I'd be lying a bit. That's not shot at the devs, after all, the release is R5B7. Beta. It's not all going to work like magic. ![]() In fact I'm hoping that I can contribute to some degree, but as I said, this isn't a KnoppMyth thing, it's a lirc thing. The blaster functionality is something else that could use some work. Get a working blaster config file is....trying. ![]() Again, certain no shot at the devs, this whole thing is a bang-up job. I love it, but there's always room to make things even better. ![]() |

Just to mention - none of the directions in the forum or the Wiki worked for me (I own a A415-HPG connected to a Hauppauge Nova-S Plus) - so perhaps you can take a look at my HowTo and scroll down to The remote: |

LIRC is getting a signal from my remote, but for some reason it seems as if the commands don't get sent to mythtv. When I run irw and press buttons, I can see that LIRC is getting a signal and that everything corresponds right to my lircd.conf, but for some reason, mythtv just isn't receiving the commands. Here's my two config files: /etc/lirc/lircd.conf: http://www.dajoob.com/pub/lircd.conf /home/mythtv/.mythtv/lircrc: http://www.dajoob.com/pub/lircrc |
