Im in the configuration part, and im in the input thing. I inserted my Zap2It username and password, and pressed ok. Now, when I try to get the listings, or search for channels, it won't find anything. I tried default, us-cable, us-cable-bcast, and us-cable-hrc. Nothing will find any channels. Im using basic cable. What do I do? |

Did you register and set up your lineup(s) at zap2it? If not go to the http://labs.zap2it.com/ website, login, click on the "Add a lineup" button and configure an appropriate channel lineup. This is covered in the installation instructions. Did you run mythfilldatabase (as the mythtv user)? Login as mythtv and run that command. The mythtv-setup tools prompts you to do this when it exits. |

Frequency set. Also check the logs to see if your card is being identified properly, especially if it's a PVR-150. See the TroubleShooting pages on the wiki for standard issues. |

I played around with the frequencies from us-cable-hrc, us-cable-irc and us-cable, and that doesnt work. I checked the logs (dmesg, messages), nothing looks wrong. What else do I do? |

Did you complete your configuration in mythtv-setup? Tuner card configured on /dev/video0? Video source defined with the right zap2it line up? Input connections made associating your tuner input (and only that) with the video source? Did you reboot so that everything is using the right settings? |

If the reboot doesn't clear it, it's still almost certainly something silly, but it's time to take the gloves off. We're going to want output from the following diagnostic tools: - The output (trim it to multimedia devices only) of lspci -v - The ivtv section from /var/log/messages as per the CheckingLogFiles page on the wiki. - The output from ivtvctl -d /dev/video0 -a |

The easiest way is to install an SSH package on your laptop such as PuTTY. Just search for it and you'll find it. Then you use PuTTY to connect to your mythbox and open a console window. You can copy and paste from the PuTTY window to your browser at that point. I don't use the keyboard on my Myth box except under extreme duress! I don't even have a monitor connected to it. I do it all via SSH (except for installs, where I have to rip the box out of my entertainment center). |
