I just ripped a dvd and everything appeared to work fine. I just want to know where KnoppMyth stores them. I have looked everywhere and cant find it. None of the documentation I saw showed where they are stored after trancoding. Anyone?

MythDVD places the files where MythVideo expects to find them. So unless, you've changed the defaults /myth/video.

You need to go into settings video manager to get the videos to show up.

I just got to thinking - this is probably my only real annoyance with MythTV: having to go into the Video Manager to get new videos to show up in the list. I rip a few DVDs (time shifting Netflix) and download quite a few TV shows (BitTorrent) and am annoyed as all get-out that I have to explicitly tell the machine to display them in the videos menu. It's completely counter-intuitive.

I realize that I'm probably ranting in the wrong forum. I'll take a look under the hood and take this up with the MythTV folks when I have a workable solution.

Thanks for listening

:x How dare you come to my forum and discuss such things. Do it again and I'll happily remove your account.
