I have a KnoppMyth box that has been working fine for quite some time. It's running R5A30.2 with a PVR-350 TV output and I really don't have any major complaints. One thing that has bothered me, however, is the DVD burning stuff. Using the web interface works but I don't feel like I get full control over editing out the commercials. I know I could use NUV2DISK or whatever it's called but when I try starting it, I get an error saying the screen size isn't big enough. I know there are fixes for it but I would rather be able to run it from a different machine (one that actually has a somewhat hi-rez monitor). My KnoppMyth box has a fast DVD burner on it and I have another box (that I'm currently running Slackware on) that has a slower 1st gen DVD burner on it. It also has a relatively small hard drive. What I would like to know is whether I should move the high speed burner to the Slackware machine and install KnoppMyth as a frontend so I can run NUV2DISK or AVIDEMUX or something like that to edit out commercials and burn DVD's? Or could I somehow use the video card in the KnoppMyth box (not the 350) as a second head for higher-rez stuff like that.

Suggestions?
Ideas?

Thanks in advance,
Phekno

You could upgrade to r5b7 and use the built-in mythburn-ui.
