Post subject:  usb harddrive

I hate to ask but I have a USB hardrive and am trying to get it to work with my Myth box. I have been able to fdisk it and mkfs it to be an ext3 file system.

Myth syslog says

Apr 13 16:06:32 mythtv kernel: usb 3-2: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 3
Apr 13 16:06:32 mythtv kernel: scsi0 : SCSI emulation for USB Mass Storage devices

So the drive is being found.

I have read several posts and have tried a few fstab entry's no luck so far.

Here is the result I would like.

USB Drive auto mount/unmount

/myth/video
/myth/music
/myth/gallery

To be located on the new drive via mount points I guess.

I have tried some of the suggestions for usb flash cards but have not had any luck.

Any help appreciated.

This worked for me: http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic. ... =setup+usb
It's a one time fix, and after that the drive was recognized whenever I had it plugged in.
