Post subject: | Can't record shows back to back |
I have knoppmyth R5B7. Whenever I try to schedule two shows to record back to back using the web interface, it tells me that there is a conflict, and almost always, one of the shows will not record. For example, I try to record a show from 8pm-9pm, and then another from 9pm-10pm. It will tell me that there is a conflict when I do this. This doesn't make any sense to me. I have checked my settings, and I do _not_ have myth configured to record late. I have even tried putting in a -1 for the run late minutes on the first show and that does not seem to resolve the conflict. How can I possibly resolve this? I do not want to miss South Park again!!!! |

Try setting myth to record two shows back to back on the same channel and also on two different channels. Tell us if there is any difference. |

Are you running a single tuner, multiple etc... What kind of system are you running. It wouldn't hurt to have a few more details. thanks, |

It thinks there is a conflict if I record two shows back to back on the same channel as well. I have a single PVR-150 with the IR blaster. Here is a screen shot of an example. I scheduled Miami Ink to record from 9pm-10pm (as you can see in the popup). If I then try to schedule World's Tallest People on the same channel at 10pm, it says that there is a possible conflict, and I guarentee that World's Tallest People will not record: ![]() Can someone please help? |

Overlap is usually the key. If you manually extend the individual schedules instead of using the global setting it tends to do this. |

I didn't extend the schedule though. So how do you record two shows back to back? I must be missing something. |

In the setup of the recording profile you can set up a specific show to record early and late. Utilities/Setup->Setup-->TV Settings-->General In the web setup you can also add extra time to the beginning and end of the recordings. Try and make sure that they say 0. From the screenshot of your recording profile we can't see whether the boxes say 0. Personally I'm using a pvr-500 and have no trouble recording shows back-to-back even if I'm recording 4 shows (back to back on both tuners). And as far as the "possible" conflicts go, that's how they should be showing up. Take one of the recordings you have made (that worked) and start watching it. Hit pause and it will tell you something like 12:00 of 59:00 or something like that. Tell us what the higher number is. It's possible that you are ending up with a recording that is 61 minutes long rather than 59 & change. thanks, |
