Just a update to my setup. I installed the new quiet power supply and it made a huge difference. It is the type of power supply with one big 120 MM fan at the top. The computer case I used is a bit different where you mount the power supply in the front instead of in the back. Now I can hear the CPU fan which is not that bad for my taste.

I also added 512 MB more memory to make a total of 1 GB. I noticed that the swap file was being utilized with just 512 MB memory and was taking a performance hit.

I ran out of time last night to setup LVM and the Air2pc card so I am hoping to resume tomorrow after some new TV programs record. I am still waiting on my wireless keyboard and steamzap remote in the mail.

I got the rest of my items in the mail. I installed the Streamzap remote but was having problems. I followed the instructions from the last post here and it worked after a reboot:

Added DVD Writer and different CPU cooler. The machine is just making noise now from the exhaust case fans in the rear. I am going to be trying out a Zalman Fanmate shortly:

** EDIT **

I replaced my old Nvidia GeForce 6200 LE card that had a failed fan for a new fanless Nvidia 7200 GS. I also added a second Air2PC card. All 3 PCI slots are now filled. Also upgraded from R5E50 to R5F27.

** NOTE - The new video card I installed has a very low profile heatsink. The old video card I used had blocked out using one of the PCI slots. Now I can use all the slots **

** UPDATE **

Replaced Logisys power supply with a Sunbeam / Casegears Hush 580w power supply (The old power supply still works...Just wanted a quieter model). Also added two 120 mm intake fans in the side ducts of case. Also replaced the 80 mm exhaust fans with quieter ones.

120 mm Link: Link

I upgraded the memory as well to 2 GB and see a noticable improvement in watching HD content (Fast forward and seeking are greatly improved).
