CommandIR has been supported by KnoppMyth for quite a while now, but we haven't mentioned it until now. Most people use CommandIR to control multiple set-top-boxes since it has 4 "emitter"/transmitter channels plus a built-in receiver that detects most remotes. It has no trouble controlling 56k frequency devices. Just select "CommandIR" from the irblaster script and it will work with whatever remote(s) and device(s) you setup in lircd.conf.
