Hi All, Just got my second successful mythtv box working. I built from a mid-range system to get all the bells and whistles. Here are the details: Athlon 2500+ barton 512MB of decent ram Soltek sln something or other nforce2 mobo PVR 150 Ati Radeon 9800 pro Problems: 1) TV-out didn't work out of the box. Simple fix was to follow the ATI tv out instructions found on this board and knoppmyth wiki. 2) PVR 150 gave me all static. Turned out that IVTV wasn't recognizing the card. As found in other in a couple of threads on the board, I added "options ivtv tuner=50" to my /etc/modprobe.conf. Maybe would have worked first time, but I had a typo, so I updated the IVTV drivers, still didn't work, and then I noticed the somewhat deceiving IVTV error message when it doesn't recognize the card. Says something like card type is 4, which means unknown. After fixing the typo, card worked great. Love the myth distro, keep up the good work! Thanks, Paul |
