Did a stock auto install of R5F27 and had to do a few edits to make it a slave only machine. See this wiki page for more info (I did not to the exports or NFS steps):

http://www.knoppmythwiki.org/index.php? ... ckendHowTo

Note: My master IP address is 192.168.0.200 and the Slave is 192.168.0.100

From a command line as root:

Code:
update-rc.d -f mysql remove
update-rc.d -f apache remove
rm -fr /etc/cron.daily/mythtv-backend

nano /etc/mythtv/mysql.txt

Code:
DBHostName=mythtvmaster
DBUserName=mythtv
DBPassword=mythtv
DBName=mythconverg
LocalHostName=mythtvslave

Open Xterm:

Code:
su mythtv-setup
In mythtv-setup:
set local ip (default 127.0.0.1) to 192.168.0.100
set master backend ip to 192.168.0.200
setup capture cards

See the Kworld 115 wiki page for how to set it up:

http://www.knoppmythwiki.org/index.php? ... ld115HowTo

After that I rebooted both the master and slave machines (Slave first and then Master). Now I have 6 tuners between two Mythtv machines. :)

Just as a note, all the hardware except the Kworld 115 could be considered Tier 1 if I did not do the slave backend steps.
