It was sooooo close to Tier 1, but I did have to edit a couple files. Great work cesman!

KnoppMyth R5A26 on
Chaintech 7NIL1 micro-atx mobo w/integrated audio and NIC (N-Force 2 Ultra)
Athlon XP 2800+ (Barton)
512MB PC3200 Crucial RAM
PVR-250 (non-MCE)
GeForce 4 MX420 AGP card (unsure of brand)
160GB Seagate IDE drive (ST3160023A)
Samsung SM-308B CD-RW/DVD-ROM Drive (on second IDE channel as the master device)
Syba USB2.0/FireWire Card (ALi M5271 chipset)
Displayed on a 27" SD Sony TV via s-video

I'm using the Haupphauge remote that came with the PVR-250, the silver one. I was unable to get the remote setup script to install the right files. So I just replaced /home/mythtv/.mythtv/lircrc and /etc/lirc/lircd.conf with my previous ones, and was all set to go. All of my other settings, recorded files, etc. were there and working without needing any further configuration.

I've had this machine running on R5A12 since April, but I had just recently updated to R5A16, hoping to be able to do firewire capture from my Motorola 6200, but it was not to be. Upgraded to R5A26 and firewire capture magically worked! Too bad Charter seems to encrypt everything that's not expanded basic (read: same as analog) cable, so I'll have to find another workaround.

The following system runs as a remote front-end (off the CD), and does not require any configuration, apart from setting the time and giving it the backend's IP address.

Pentium 3 550MHz
Intel 440BX mobo
512MB RAM
GeForce 2 MX video
SoundBlaster Live Value
3Com 3C905c NIC
