It's somewhat easier to use the Flash streaming method. I never had luck with Mythstreamtv but http://knoppmythwiki.org/index.php?page=MythWebFlash worked after fixing various errors (possibly my fault).

I was having the same problems. I changed all the formats to lowercase
Tested under vista, with VLC build 0.8.6.c.

Hi,

I too get a perfect video but no sound (for all option combinations on the mythstream website) when viewing a stream of a recorded program captured by my Hauppauge NOVA-T 500, dual-tuner DVB (i.e. digital television), card. The programs have not undergone any sought of transcoding and are still in their raw capture format (which is whatever it was broadcast in - MPEG-2 I think). I get the following when it first starts streaming in the log file:
Code:
Starting Stream of /myth/tv/1009_20071216205900.mpg
VLC media player 0.8.6a Janus

Then immediately aftwerwards, refreshing the log gives the following output with errors:
Code:
Starting Stream of /myth/tv/1009_20071216205900.mpg
VLC media player 0.8.6a Janus
[00000282] main interface: creating httpd
libdvbpsi error (PSI decoder): TS discontinuity (received 1, expected 0) for PID 0
libdvbpsi error (PSI decoder): TS discontinuity (received 1, expected 0) for PID 702

When I stop the stream with the button on the mythweb site the following 'error' appears:
Code:
VLC was alive, I'm going to whack it. THE PROCESS I MEAN!

Refreshing the page removes this error.

I'm using Knoppmyth R5F27, installed from the iso and have not changed any of the mythstream settings etc - i.e. a newly installed system.

I've read above about codec problems, I am watching this with Windows Media Player on my laptop and I am able to watch DVDs, MP3s and other internet streams so I don't think it is a problem with my laptop.

If anyone has any ideas please help!
Thanks,
