Hi All,

I'm in Perth, and notice last night that my R5.5 setup is not locking on Channel nine or SBS HD. These stations have worked in the recent past (on R5.5), so i think it has something to do with changes in the "transports" or whatever the term is.

I notice that SBS have changed configuration

And have contributed a set of new settings...

Is there an easy way to get these updates into the KM box? I did a rescan, and there was no change in reception/locking. Do i have to update a table (or two) with new settings?

I havent had a good poke around yet on the KMbox, but hopefully if someone has done some research on this already it might save me (and others) some time.

Cheers,

Nathan

I deleted the SBS channels that didn't work then did a scan of existing transports. Within 30 seconds or so it was all back and running.

Ok, so delete the problem channels (SBSHD,nine) and rescan transports.. just to make sure i have the lingo sorted... there appears to be two places you can scan in myth-setup, do they achieve the same goal?

Cheers,

Nathan

Hi anyone,

turns out that ive got a DVB-T card that doesnt like a channel (Ch9-nine). I intentially put it at the furthest PCI slot, so that it would be the last tuner in use...

Turns out that selecting an option like "use lower priority tuners for live tv" makes mythtv use the tuner "less likely" to be needed for recording programs... makes sense... so, my dodgy tuner was being used for livetv and i didnt even know it... too clever this myth tv gear :D

For reference, the dodgy tuner is a Compro T300 i think... my other 2 are Avermedia A777, and they work fine...

Cheers,

Nathan

In theory, yes. I found that going from Input Connections was less likely to crash the setup.
