Hi,

I finally moved my Mythbox into the living room for a field test. How do I get the mythfrontend to startup automatically?

I tried the directions in the MythTV documentation (I'm assuming that I do this as user 'mythtv' within this users home directory.)

nothing happened.

I also searched the forum but I can't seem to find the right post.

if you are using knoppmyth this should happen automatically without any farthur intervention unless you really changed things alot, and in that case you will probably have to figure out how to do it with your modifications.

I really haven't changed anything at all. The mythtvsetup window still comes up each time.

you have to gothrough the setup twice, then it will go away and the frontend will startup.

ok thanks, that did the trick! Sometimes you just get setup right the first time
