I installed R6 on an HP pavilion a320n the installation went okay but once it booted to the mythfrontend the keyboard did not work so I searched the forum and someone mentioned adding this to xorg.conf...
Code:
Section "ServerFlags"
      Option "AutoAddDevices" "False"
EndSection

That worked the keyboard started working. So I schedule some recordings and then go to sleep, when I check on it the next day it's completely locked up (SSH and mythweb even). I've been using Knoppmyth for years although not with this hardware. It's never locked up before could I of broken something with the added lines to xorg.conf?

possibly but I doubt it. There could be any number of reasons for a lock up. The best place to start is to check your log files to find clues as to what happened.

It could be that the new hardware has problems. I'd start by running a memory test for 24 hours.

If memory serves there is a memory test on the R6 install CD, too. (may even be the one referred to above)

What logs exactly should be checked? I am having a similar issue and have never historically dug into the log files.
