Just a thought. What if there was an option to view all upcoming and previously recorded recordings in MythWeb via a Calendar like layout. I know it would only show 14 days worth of upcoming recording, but it could also display all existing recorded programs.

Could be cool. Not sure if something exists, or how to attempt to tackle the project.

If you go to mythweb - upcoming recordings, scroll down to the bottom and there is an ical icon. Click on it to download to your favorite calender program that supports .ics files. Haven't played with it much.

Didn't even see that button down there. Only one problem, once clicked this error occurred:
Quote:
Warning at /data/srv/httpd/htdocs/mythweb/modules/_shared/tmpl/_errors/unknown_module.php, line 23:
require(modules/_shared/tmpl/ical/header.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory

Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'modules/_shared/tmpl/ical/header.php' (include_path='.:/usr/share/pear') in /data/srv/httpd/htdocs/mythweb/modules/_shared/tmpl/_errors/unknown_module.php on line 23

Tried the RSS link on the Recorded Programs page and received the same error. Will have to look into the error later.

I had 2 programs scheduled so I tried it and it got a popup saying that File named 20111206183754.ics was created, and the option to open with Outlook, or save.

I told it to open with Outlook. When I did only the first recording was displayed. But it the incorrect time was displayed. 3 instead of 8. I'm GMT + 5.

However when I looked at the file and both recording were listed in the ics file created, Both recordings had the same start time. Which was correct. When I imported it into Thunderbird (Lightning) both recording showed up but still with at the GMT time. The correct timezone is selected in Lightning

Ok, so after and update my Upcoming Recordings iCal button is working. Works great, and I can add ical file to my google calendar. Now for the next step. I would like to automate the process using the google calendar url option. Only problem, I am not sure what script generates the upcoming recording ics file.

Looking through the Mythtv.org wiki I see there is a file by the name of mythical.pl (http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Mythical.pl). Looking through the backend I can't the file.

Any suggestions or ideas?
