I would like ddclient to start at bootup (Arch Linux). I am hoping for guidance from those who have successfully done this. As I understand it, this needs to configured in rc.conf per https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Rc.conf. Is it sufficient to add this line to /etc/rc.conf:

DAEMONS=(syslog-ng ddclient network crond)

1) Is this enough?
2) Is there a good way to test \ verify this (pgrep -fl ddclient?).

Thank you.

LinHES uses runit for init so you don't want to put it in rc.conf.
To start ddclient at boot:
Code:
sudo add_service.sh ddclient
To see if it is running:
Code:
sudo sv status ddclient
