I have two weeks off coming up. I never have two weeks off. On the rare occasion I have two weeks off it involves dragging miserable kids thruogh the happiest place on earth or similar and being the peacemaker between them and their exhausted mother and thus it isn't really two weeks off at all. But this time I'm changing job for the first time in 13 yrs and the kids will be in school, yaay!

So, I have visions of hours and hours of leisurely time home alone (also never happens) doing tech upgrades (I highly doubt this will unfold exactly as I envision it but I can dream). One such upg I'd like to take on is to upgrade LinHES. I thought I'd use the latest beta R8 build out there - if I do, I don't suppose I could could simply do a pacman -Syu or whatever to upgrade to the GA version when it's out?

I assume the answer is "maybe but definitely no promises".

Thx.

moving from R8 beta to a released version will be as simple as changing pacman.conf to use the release repo instead of of testing and running pacman -Syyu
