Hi,

I thought id give R8 a whirl. everything actually works realy well.

my on problem is i have a media drive that is formated ntfs.

in previous linhes versions i would make a entry in fstab and use ntfs-3g to mount it, worked perfect.

however in R8 there doenst seem to be ntfs-3g and when i tried to install it via pacman one of its dependents is glibc 2.17 which i dont seem to be able to upgrade as to its dependencies.

I was just going to install a ntfs-3g from 2012 that didnt require the glibc2.17...however i can no longer find the pkg to install.

Is there a trick to installling ntfs-3g or maybe someone may know a link to an old pkg.

Id appreciate any help.

David

Ntfs-3g doesn't exist in R8 in any of the repositories, where did you find a ntfs-3g package that needs glibc2.17?

Thank you so much. Really thank you. i have been trying to get this to work for ages.
I used the ntfs package you put up and it works great. I was trying to use one from the arch repo but could not get it to work. I have no idea what i was doing wrong. yours worked first go.
But again thank you. I can now stop sleeping on the couch and my kids will stop growling at me when i walk past them. Is amazing how one system can make such a difference....when linhes goes down...its an unhappy household.
