Hello, I tried updating one of my old FE's the other day and the NVidia video driver no longer supports the NVidia chipset onboard. I was wondering if there was or could be a historical package that I could install instead of the latest one for the video drivers.

The chipset is the GeoForce 6150 I believe, which is no longer supported by current NVidia drivers.

Thank you,

Bill S.

There is only 1 nvidia driver in R8.2.

However, if you are willing to test there are 3 nvidia drivers for various nvidia cards in -testing. xconfig.sh has been updated to detect your card and install the correct driver. http://linhes.org/issues/986 You will need to update everything to -testing as all the nvidia drivers are built for the newer kernel also in testing.
