When I play back a recorded file, the frontend stops abruptly. I am not pressing any buttons or changing anything.

This is the error from the log:
Xlib: unexpected async reply (sequence 0x217c)!

My hardware setup:
GForce4 MX 4000
Asus P4T533 - 2.4 Ghz
PVR 250
PVR 350

This appears to be an issue with XvMC. I did an Auto-Upgrade and this time I didn't install XvMC. Things seem to be working well. Also, Live TV would just stop immediately, now it works fine.

yes XvMC is good about freezing the box.
