and how would i make it auto executabel

This is much better that the last attempt. Now go back and delete the bad one. The liitle X in the upper right hand corner of your posts that haven't been responded too will let you do this.

If I right click on that last link with my browser I get a menu and one of the options says "download link". See if you can find an option like that in your browser and use it. This will give you a file on the system where the browser is running that you can then copy (scp or whatever) to the KnoppMyth box.

The script starts with the appropriate #!/usr/bin/perl magic so all you need to do once you've got it on your KnoppMyth box is chmod a+x directv.pl to set the "executable" bit and set the MythTV configuration to point at it.

i thought it was something like that for the autoexec thing...

but i thought there was a way that i gould get the script and install it in the terminal. but over the internet....

like the appget comand but different.....

i will try the save thingy but i thought that there was like one command to set it all up.... one cammand that will DL the script and place it in the scripts directory.....

then just make it auto executable....
and add the command line in the input connections setup area of the myth backend setup.

o ya sorry bout that... browser crashed...... hate that.... but u think it did not post... but then it did....

At a terminal on the myth box you could type:


That'll download the script to your current location on the myth box.
