Hello all,

I got my PVR working under WinXP using ATI's multimedia center, but since I'm only running a Celey 1ghz, it was a beast, and my DTV wouldn't record properly.

So I want to try KnoppMyth, but I can't seem to find any information about this card anywhere.

I think its an ATI TV Wonder Elite, as the Elite uses the 550 chipset (according to ATI's site), which is supposed to be supported by the BTTV kernel module, but I can't get it recognized or installed. When I installed KnoppMyth from the CD, it didn't recognize the card at all.

Anyone had any luck with an ATI Theater Pro 550 card?

The card was given to me by a friend who wasn't using it, as I don't have the money to spend on a Hauppauge card (which I've heard are the best.)

It does support Hardware MPEG2 Video and Audio Encoding, I just can't seem to get it to work.

-- System --
Celeron 1Ghz
1024 MB Ram
NVidia FX6200 256MB AGP 4x (due to Mobo)
Ensoniq 1371
Linksys LNE 10/100

Not a Linux n00b by any stretch of the imagination, but I can't get the BTTV module to load #46 for anything.

Any help would be appreciated...thanks.

-- LSPCI shows the device as an ATI unknown with a device ID of 45d2

Its definitely a Theater Pro 550 chipset. Gatos didn't seem to have anything that I saw. BTTV is supposed to work, using Driver #46 I believe. I'm re-installing Knoppmyth and using the i686 modules to see if that'll provide any help.
