I am getting a error on my frontend system when tring to play music. The error is "MythMusic has encountered the following error: DecoderOgg: Failedtoopen input. Error 5."

I am see the music from my backend system and select it and that is when I get the error. I am running Knoppmyth 5C7.

You're not seeing the music on the backend, you are seeing the contents of the db. Does the music exist on the same path on both systems? It must. http://mysettopbox.tv/linhes.html

I was checking out that link that you gave me and when I was in the middle of it was thinking this seems like a lot of work. So I was wondering if there was an easier way. I starting thinking about how I make the video work by editing the /etc/fstabs file and putting the info for the video directory. So I tought I would try the same for music so I added the line to /etc/fstabs

10.1.1.6:/myth/music /myth/music nfs defaults,auto,noatime 0 0

I still got the error so I thought to check out the music settings under setup so I did and they were pointed to /mnt/store/music so I changed it to be /myth/music and it worked.


Thanks for the link becuase it got me thinking to try it this way. Hopefully this info will help others.
