I cant seem to get mythTv to search in my subfolders for videos. I have it linked to my videos folder, but I have 2 sub folders in that folder that aren't recognized in the software. Is this possible?

Thanks
- Ehren

Worked for me outta the box with R5D1. I drop the folder in /myth/video an' it shows up in the video list. Did you scan for new videos?

Also, anybody know if there is a way to keep the folder structure intact in the video browsing section? If I dump a lot of videos in their, it's a pain to look through them. In the file system, they're organized in folders by show an' season, but they end up as one big list in the view video section.

Yea, I think the "Browse Videos in Gallery mode" check box in MythVideo settings enables folders to be seen. I can't remember exactly not at my KM box.

search the forums for "folder.jpg" too, is a little easter egg feature with thumbnails in that view.

Permissions issue? You create subfolders with mythtv or root? MythTV is user that needs permissions.

Yeah, I swapped to the other video browse mode(might be gallery, I don't remember), an' it puts things in folders now. Works great! I jus' need to rename my files to make 'em a bit more readable. :)
