When I run mailq I see lots of emails.
This concerns me. What's the deal?

Interesting. I also have mail messages to www-data@dev.mysettopbox.tv and nigel@dev.mysettopbox.tv.

Have a look around in /var/spool/exim4 for all the details. They are the usual Unix admin-type messages. Cron failures, mysql errors, and sudo failures.

They are mailed to dev.mysettopbox.tv because that is the default domain in the mail delivery config (/etc/exim4)

I thought that might be the case. I did want to post it somewhere so the Knoppmyth devs could have a chance at removing it (or setting up an option to mail it to someone else)

Thanks

hmmm.... Guess I'll have to delete that. Truth me, I've no interest in receiving any mail from anyone's system.

Cecil - Going by the dates on the ones I found, they were whatever was in the queue on your system when the CD image was built.

uzik - If you haven't deleted those check to see if they're older than the /etc/.epoch file.

What do I edit to get these messages sent out to somewhere that I can read them?

Thanks
