At least in my zip code (94107) it looks like zap2it has changed their channel numbers for OTA DT channels.
It looks like they've switched to using the 'real' ATSC channel number rather than the 'user understandable' one.
For example:
used to have:
2 - KTVU
2.1 - KTVUDT
2.2 - KTVUDT2
Now we have:
2 - KTVU
56 - KTVUDT
56 - KTVUDT2
(with 56 repeated)
Anyone else seeing this?
Any quick fix?
Bwaaaa!

My DT stations seemed to have disappeared completely on Zap2It! (90066, but using 90034)
UPDATE: If I delete my line up and recreate it, the DT stations are present, but instead of 5.1, 7.1, etc Zap2It is using the "real" ATSC channels (i.e channel 5 is ATSC channel 31). Grrr... I guess we have to manually edit our channel info...

So maybe that was scarier than it actually was...
Everything is okay now.
Here's what I did - may have been overkill - YRMV.
on zap2it site:
1) deleted my OTA listings from zap2it (the DT channels were missing from the listings)
2) added a new OTA listing on zap2it -- checked all of my DT channels
to mythbox...
3) exited frontend
4) killed backend pid
5) ran myth-setup
6) in my "HD-Broadcast" setup I reconnected to zap2it to get the listing
7) reconnected HD-Broadcast to HD tuners
reran OTA scan for both OTA tuners
9) ran mythfilldatabase --refresh-all
10) reboot myth
Magically everything works... even though the listing numbers are all different. Good stuff!
EDIT: I'm using vanilla R5D1
UPDATE: Others on the zap2it site have gotten things up and running by doing only 2 steps:
1) update listings on zap2it site; recheck the DT stations (if the DT stations are missing try clicking update again -- if that doesn't work you may have to delete the listing and make a new one)
2) mythfilldatabase --refresh-all
Link: http://bb.labs.zap2it.com/viewtopic.php?t=1055
(you'll have to use this link twice; first to login to zap2it, and then again to get directly to the thread)
AND: It seems like the people that have the most issues are the ones that delete tuners / listings in mythtv-setup. So don't do that...

Before I edited anything in my computer, I had to go to zap21t and fix the lineup there. Initially all the DT stations were missing altogether. The first update restored the list so I could go back a second time and check the correct boxes.
Only after I got zap2it straight could I go into mythtv-setup and fix things there.

Question: does step 8 above, "rerun OTA scan for both OTA tuners" need to be performed?
I thought I had read in other threads that doing a channel scan in addition to using Zap2It might mess things up. But I could easily be misunderstanding things. Thanks.

ceenvee703:
"need" to be - dunno. I reran the ATSC scan; not to be confused with the other scan that gets the channel set from zap2it.
I'm sure that some of my steps can be skipped... I think I went overboard.
Probably fine to just update the listings at zap2it and then re-run mythfilldatabase.

Their change has got my channels all messed up. What used to be channel 21 (2.1) is still found by the tuner at 21, but its listings are at channel 3. Channel 3 gets me absolutely nothing. And so on through the whole listing.
It is starting to look like I will have to manually repair all the channels. Aaargh!

Whyyyyyyy would they do this? Looking at their forum, nobody is talking about a fix from their side. I'm afraid to do anything, hoping that they'll fix it before I run out of guide data.
It's hard to argue with "free", but in this case I'd rather pay and know that someone is interested in keeping me happy.

Temporary solution: The dvb card still recognizes the channel at 2.1. Zap2it recognizes it as 3. If you take the id number from channel 3 and put it under channel 2.1, 2.1 will get the proper data in the line up so you can record shows on it.
Two continuing problems:
You can't erase 3 becuase the next mythfilldatabase will stick it right back in. This leaves you with a number of dead channels in your line up.
There is no data for additional subchannels. E.g. I have data for 7.1 now but none for 7.2 or 7.3 because zap2it no longer provides it. This leaves you with a number of unknown channels in your line up.

This is the real problem... All the subchannels have the same 'real' channel number...but they only put out one data row for each 'real' channel number....

I found that adding the switch --preset to my mythfilldatabase options preserved all my "old" channel numbers. This is in addition to the --quiet switch that was already present. Run
Code: $ mythfilldatabase --help | less
for more info on options.

I am glad to see this. I would have never thought to check. My entire channel lineup has changed as well. I went into zap2it deleted my old lineup and added the new one. Now I have to wait until I get home tonight to re-run the scan. Good thing I checked the forums. I will post my results later this evening.

I also got zapped by the changes to the zap2it digital tv channel lineup too. My schedule went totally blank on me.
In the Mythtv Setup screens, I had to delete all my channels, go back and manually scan the over the air HDTV channels and then manually edit my channel list data using the Mythweb channel configuration screen. The big item that needed editing was the XMLTVID codes for each sub-channel - since zap2it has just stopped giving us the sub-channel data! My saving grace was that I had saved a screen snapshot of that data from a few weeks ago.
The timing of this zap2it change is really poor - right before a major holiday where people will be setting their pvr hardware to record shows for them while they are traveling - only to come home after the holiday and find their machines screwed up by the unannounced changes!!

Additionally, if you just go to http://www.zap2it.com/ and look up the listings for your area, they still show in the old 2.1 format.
