I've got my R5E50 completely setup, apart from one problem (that I had on R5B7 but managed to fix).

I have a Hauppauge Gray Remote and all the buttons seem to work apart from Back-Exit, looking at /etc/lirc/lircd.conf its setup as:

Back-Exit 0x0000000000001F9F

and in /home/mythtv/.lircrc its setup as:

begin
prog = mythtv
button = Back-Exit
config = Esc
end

So as far as I can tell this is correct but for some reason the Back-Exit button doesnt get triggered.

Is there something that I've missed in the lirc config that I can change?

Have you checked it using irw? I think you need to stop the frontend before doing this. It's possible that something is not quite correct.

I did try to use irw, but when ever I did irw the lircd daemon crashed but I couldnt find any log messages as to why irw caused the crash.

I'm at a lose to explain it but after a couple of reboots and installs of other software the back-exit button is working without me touching anything.

Ah well at least its working now.... (for the time being).
