Can I create MythTV menu hotkeys? For example press F1 for Watch Recordings, F2 for Program Guide, F3 for Weather, F4 for Play DVD, F5 for Live TV. This would definitely help the WAF. Thanks!

You should be able to do that through setting jump points under >utilities/setup>edit keys

Thanks, but I need more help. I want to bind F1 to

Media Library -> Watch Recordings

This is not one of the available jump points. Anybody got this figured out?

Steve

On the MythWeb KeyBindings page at: http://<YourMythBoxHere>/mythweb/settings/keys It's called "TV Recording Playback". Once you change and save it you need to restart the frontend for it to take effect.

thanks, but that's a different screen than the one I was looking for. I really wanted to jump to

Media Library -> Watch Recordings

which has a column on the left with show names, and then a column on the right with episode names, date and time recorded. BTW, I'm still on R5E50 if that makes a difference.

Unless you tried it and got different results than I did, that IS the screen it takes you too.

I just re-did it just to be sure. That jump point brings me to the upcoming recordings screen. Any thoughts?

You should be able to set that. I have 'Watch Previous Recordings' mapped to F2. Are you sure you are selecting the correct jump point? I have a vague recollection of making that mistake first out myself.

The name I gave above is the exact name in the "jumppoints" table "destination" column, as well as what is used on the MythWeb http://HOSTNAME/mythweb/settings/keys page.

OK I think I figured it out. At the top of the screen there's a drop down for "edit keybindings on" and then pick a "host." I have two hosts in the box, "living room" and "mythtv." Well, "living room" was the default, so I selected "mythtv." My kids have control of the TV right now, so I'll check it in the morning, but I think this was the problem. Thanks for making me check it again,

Steve
