My tv-out now goes blank periodically while sitting at the Myth Menus. Pressing the remote or a key on the keyboard brings it right back, like some sort of screen blanking screen saver is in effect.

This never happened until this weekend when I tried burning a show to DVD with Myth Archive for the first time. It worked flawlessly, but during the archive process, which took some time, the screen blanked out and a keypress brought it back. Since then it happens when ever the machine is sitting at the menus for a while! I've tried rebooting to no avail. I don't really know were to look next. I'd like it to just stay on all the time, like it used to. It seems like running Myth Archive changed something.

Any ideas on how to track this down?
Thanks.

Well, just as mysteriously as it appeared, the problem has mysteriously gone away! I even tried burning another DVD. The screen never went away or blacked out. Not during the DVD encoding and not at the myth menus anymore. All is as it was. Go figure!

Another one of those great mysteries that will never be solved.

The one thing I could suggest is that you could check your log files to see if they say anything about what the system is doing.
