I've been running the "fixed" R5F1 to get my SD lineups for a while now. I finally decided to upgrade to R5F27. Followed TJC's directions for backing up and ran the upgrade. Auto Upgrade went smoothly and everything works as planned.

However...now all of my recordings are of a month and a half ago. Most of them I've deleted since then. The couple of movies I still have in the list play back just fine, but my latest recordings are not showing up.

I believe it has something to do with the restore that was automatically performed, however I'm not smart enough to figure out what to do next.

Any help would be appreciated

[EDIT]All of the correct shows are still located in the /myth/tv folder, it just appears as though the link is gone...am I screwed?

Sounds like you missed the part of the directions that warns you to make sure that you don't have multiple ambiguous backups and as a result you restored from an old one. Do the following as root and post the results here:
Code:
ls -al /myth/backup/

With luck the current one is there and you just need to remove the old one then rerun the restore script.

Code:
root@pvr:/home/xxxxxxxx# ls -al /myth/backup/
total 111476
drwxrwxr-x  2 mythtv mythtv      4096 Sep 16 16:24 .
drwxr-xr-x 20 root   root        4096 Jul 15 07:51 ..
-rw-------  1 root   root     1544528 Sep 16 16:24 mythconverg.sql.gz
-rw-------  1 root   root   112473955 Nov  3 13:02 savedfiles.tar.gz

I see that Sept 16 is the latest date it's showing in my recordings. Something with sql??

BTW, if memory serves me correctly, about that time I was planning on doing the R5F27 upgrade, but ran out of time and decided to do the quick fix so I could get my listings from SD. I probably made the original backup so that's why that mythconverg.sql.gz is in there. (If that helps at all explain what happened)

Yeah, that pretty much explains it. You didn't make a current backup and as a result you lost all the DB information since Sept 16th. Classic.

At this point you best hope is the /usr/local/bin/myth.rebuilddatabase.pl utility. it requires some manual effort but it should allow you to get the DB to recognize all the recordings still in your /myth/tv directory.
