For lack of a better description... there are times when my livetv stops. It always happens on the hour or half past the hour (which leads me to believe it involves scheduling). I don't know if it only happens when the show I'm watching ends, or if it has happened midway through an hour long show. When this happens, the screen pauses and sound stops. I cannot enter the menu or navigate playback.

However, I can exit back to the myth menu and go back into livetv to resume watching it normally. I have looked through logs and don't see anything particularly useful. It happens day or night. I had read about somebody else having a similar problem, but have been unable to find that post again and see if it has been resolved.

Any suggestions?

Do you receive the infamous "Error Was encountered while displaying video" message? Even if you don't, it certainly sounds like the issue discussed here http://knoppmyth.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.p ... ying+video

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. It sounds like the same symptoms I am having. Sounds like it will be fixed in the next myth (and hopefully knoppmyth), so I guess unless I want to break my box (aka "fixing" it) I will just have to wait.

Hey there,

I was having the exact symptoms, and tried most things to try to fix.. even looked at svn as there was a problem that was ticketed with myth with the same issues...

When i failed to be able to rebuild using svn (im not that experienced at these things)... i reinstalled the R5F27, and the problem went away...

I think it probably has something to do with the database, but i am unsure...

The easiest thing i found to do is not watch live tv, or reinstall... :)

Cheers,

Nathan
