My mythbox works great except for one thing. Roughly once a day my screen goes black and I lose the PVR-350. No tuner, no FB, no nothing.

I read the backend log and I get the "Game over man" quote. I'm running fedora core 2 and atrpms ivtv 0.1.10_pre2_ck100zz kernel module.

Also when this occurs my saved programs disappear and other information such as channels. I'm thinking this could also be a problem with the MySQL database which is rendering the capture card "dumb".

Anyone else with this problem? Any suggestions?

I've seen "game over" when the tuner can't sync to a channel due to a bad signal or interference. Using the wrong frequency could have similar results, and it's the type of result you'd get when the DB goes AWOL.

I'd say the first thing to track down is what is happening to your DB.
