Thanks to Dale and Cesman for their superb packaging. Linux can be quite intimidating for newbs like me. I have things functioning quite nicely without a remote so far.

I was wondering if I have to edit the cron table to get the mythtv programming updates or it is already set to do so.

Thanks again for your efforts, mythtv is quite impressive and knoppmyth makes the install a breeze.

It's been on 24/7 since I left for Florida on holidays (Nov 20), but I got bit by the same XMLTV bug from zap2it.com that others did and it wasn't recognizing my postal code, so no guide updates. I was able to fix things up before I lost the guide to record the better half's soaps (which was the reason for the PVR computer experiment. All is good again. Can't wait wait to get back to the 0 degree F temps and start building a permanent rig to install knoppmyth backend on. Maybe R5 will be ready by then.

Is there a way I can get mythfilldatabase to look 3 or 4 weeks into the future? I believe it defaults to 7 days.

I see your last reponse of "no" on the 2 to 3 weeks of load, but know (think) if zap2it is who our xmltv is hitting they do store 14 days. Just let me know if this is a database restriction or if we can at least (edit to grab) the max amount they store.

Thx kindly

Max is 9. This will happen automatically. Please DON'T try and force anymore. Zap2it isn't too happy about folks using screenscapers to get the info...
